About Us

The Center for Avian Adoption, Rescue and Education (C.A.A.R.E.) is an all-volunteer North Dakota non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation devoted to the welfare of companion parrots.  The organization is family oriented in nature, and both individual and family memberships are available. The organization is dedicated to teaching the public about exotic parrots. Requests for on-site visits to schools, nursing homes, and any other venue are welcomed. We welcome persons interested in adopting and/or fostering companion parrots placed into our care. Our mission to find suitable adoptive homes for these parrots is taken quite seriously. Fostering is a wonderful way to decide if a certain type of parrot is right for you and your family, without having to make an adoption commitment first. If you have a parrot that needs a home, if fostering, adoption, or an educational meeting appeals to you, or if you already have companion parrots and would like to be in the company of folks with like interests, please check us out!

C.A.A.R.E. is not responsible for the medical/nutritional views herein. You should always consult an avian veterinarian for specific guidance. C.A.A.R.E. assumes no responsibility for the claims or quality of merchandise of any advertiser.
