My name is Frankie! I am a 18 to 19 year old Blue and Gold Macaw. I am said to be male. I like being around people in a public setting but when I am in my home I am a one person bird and tend to prefer the man of the house. I do not do well in a home with children. I like going for rides, long walks in the park and much much more.  I like to undo nuts and bolts to my cage and toys. I love lots of wood to chew up along with fun puzzle toys. I also love skritches. I can make sound effects like a roar and a toot sound on top of being able to say a few words.  I do pluck or chew on some of my feathers but what I lack in feathers I make up for in personality. Because I am a Macaw I can scream very loud and will not do well in an apartment.

Adoptions are not 'first come, first served'; we strive to find the most appropriate home for each parrot. We do not ship parrots and generally adopt only within a 200-mile radius of Fargo, ND. 

A pre-adoption, home visit by a member of our Adoption Committee is required for every adoption.  

We charge an Adoption Fee for each adoptable parrot.  Adoption Fees are based on the discretion of the Board of Directors.
