Meet Dani! He is a Patagonian Conure and is approximately 33 years old, blind in his left eye, wild-caught, and plucked. He will step up to covered hand/arm. Slow to trust, but once he feels comfortable and secure, he opens up to you. He likes to nap and play with his toys (bells and stuffed toys). He likes to climb to the outside of his cage and flap his wings. A Patagonian Conure, his is the largest of the conures and known for their large feet, for burrowing nests into limestone cliffs earning their reputations as "Burrowing Parrots". Make no mistake, he is moderately loud and he has a big beak and doesn't know his own strength. He is a good bird, though and deserves a home where he can crow his delight and a human that will appreciate his beauty, both inside and out. Dani is available for adoption consideration through the Center for Avian Adoption, Rescue, and Education. Note: We do not ship parrots and generally adopt only within a 200-mile radius of Fargo, North Dakota. A pre-adoption home visit by a member of our adoption committee is required for every adoption. Adoptions are not first come, first served; we strive to find the most appropriate home for each parrot.
