My name is Obie! I am a Moluccan Cockatoo or Salmon-crested Cockatoo. I do prefer women. I love to cuddle and get my skritches when I can. I meow like a cat and make many other sounds. I love to chew on lots of wood toys and figuring out how to undo the quick links and dropping the toys to the bottom of my cage. Because I am a male Cockatoo and can be unpredictable at times and I do require someone with Cockatoo experience. Because I am a Moluccan I can get very loud and reach 135 to 145 decibels. I will also require lots of space. If you are interested in me please contact the Center for Avian Adoption, Rescue and Education. Note: We do not ship parrots and generally adopt only within a 200-mile radius of Fargo, North Dakota. A pre-adoption home visit by a member of our adoption committee is required for every adoption.
